Barcelona

Barcelona has been on my bucket list for a very long time (not that I'm that old, but who cares;) It houses beautiful architectural sights, such as La Sagrada Familia, my favorite building in Barcelona, Casa Batlló, and Casa Vicens.

Barcelona is one of Spain's most visited cities, not for no reason. We've Antoni Gaudi to thank for that; many of the famous sights have been designed by him in his unique modernist style. His artistic flair colors the city. Besides his buildings, Barcelona has great beaches, to unwind after a long day of sightseeing, and an amazing food culture, from paella to tapas and patata brava. 

Barcelona is a compact city, which means you can get anywhere in about an hour with the metro and or bus. When you're visiting longer than a day, I recommend purchasing a multi-day ticket at the airport. Here you can look at the price differences for the number of days you're here, and see what's most profitable. If you choose the T-usual, you can also take the train into the city center, to Placa Espanya.
